Paul and Lee Brooks set out on a mission to turn their new build house into their dream home. They wanted a low maintenance garden space which can be used whenever the weather allows with little to no work required.

Total value: Approx. £25,000
Build time: Six weeks
Contractor: Cut Above Landscapes

The duo enlisted the help of two landscaping teams to complete the works, which took a total of six weeks over two years. The reason for this was to allow Paul and Lee to save up between works, allowing them to get their dream garden.

PROJECT DETAILS

The garden features a dining area, chill out area, hot tub area and lounge area.

Having the space look just as good at night as it did in the day was a key part of the brief for this build, which is why plenty of lighting was incorporated into the garden.

A simple planting scheme incorporated plenty of shrubs that will come back each year.

Reflecting on the garden

Homeowner Paul Brooks said: “The landscapers made this garden look exactly how we wanted. The quality products, including artificial grass and composite decking, require little to no maintenance. The finished space makes us feel really pleased..

“It’s been amazing for us to enjoy the space since the garden project finished. The money it has cost has been so worth it!”

Material costs took up a large percentage of the budget. The landscapers originally installed wood decking, but then replaced with composite and artificial grass.
